Villierstown
Built
in the 18th century by John Villiers, 1st Earl of Grandison, to service
a linen weaving industry on his estate, Villierstown is a beautiful village
with stone cut houses which has won numerous accolades in the National

now a tranquil view point on this lovely river.

glass windows.Dromana House, home of Emily and James Villiers Stuart,
is in nearby Dromana Woods. The Hindu-Gothic gate lodge on the

of a popular local landlord and MP.
The
town lies on the Dromana Drive, which forms part of the Gaeltacht
& Galltacht Drive.
